The Calm Before the Storm!

Well apologies firstly for there being such a gap in my posts, truth is we have just been playing a waiting game, waiting for the Chemo to start.

It didn’t start within 2 weeks but 4 and a half, due to the drugs trial I am going on - I am taking Avastin alongside the standard Chemo of FEC-T but will take the Avastin (drip every 3 weeks) for a whole year! Its new to Primary Cancer Treatment, thought its used in Secondary Cancer so it can only be a good thing. The surgery has healed nicely and I was almost back to full strength! Thanks so much for all your good wishes again!

Chemo started today, a couple of hours of Intravenous injection of poisons into my blood stream, I think the fear was worse than the actual procedure and now this must be the calm before the storm, 2 hours later I am feeling fine, but tired (off for a nap!) but expect the Nausea to hit later on today!! Joy. Taking bets on how long it will be before my hair falls out – Favourite is 2 weeks, Evens 3 weeks; 2-1 Four Weeks PLACE YOUR BETS!
